Hypocritical hilarity.

apoplecticskeptic:

So conservatives and the Tea Party were pissed at Democrats in Wisconsin for leaving the state as a political tactic during the showdown with Governor Walker, but now secession is supposed to be considered a reasonable response to a presidential election they lost?

The stoopid, it hurts.

"One doughnut is not going to hurt you. In moderation, most things are OK. … That is exactly what we’re trying to do with soft drinks is get you to drink in moderation."

NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg • Responding to criticism from the Today Show’s Matt Lauer about his office’s support of National Doughnut Day less than two days after announcing a proposed ban on soda sizes larger than 16 ounces. Bloomberg’s faced criticism from other politicians for spending his time on the issue. “I like Mayor Bloomberg, but are you kidding me? Come on,” House Speaker John Boehner said Friday. “Don’t we have bigger issues to deal with than the size of some soft drink that somebody buys?” What say you? Valid or hypocritical? (via shortformblog)

The irony inherent in John Boehner weighing in on the issue of bureaucratic waste is so thick you could swim in it.

Because when you’re a Republican and a Christian, you’re doing the Lord’s work. When you’re a Democrat and a Christian, obviously you are plotting to ruin Amurica.

A question about the latest Prop. 8 issue…

manicchill:

If Judge Walker should be disqualified from ruling on Prop. 8 due to conflict of interest because he’s gay, shouldn’t 95% of Congress be disqualified from voting for tax cuts for millionaires?
