"The Seahawks are my new favorite team."

Brett Favre, in a text to [newly signed] Seattle kicker Ryan Longwell, via Peter King

As if I needed one more reason to hate Favre or the Seahawks.

"Hey, let him hate us. We hate them, too. That’s the bottom line. We don’t like them. They don’t like us."

Green Bay Packers’ Greg Jennings on Brandon Marshall’s recent locker room motivational gifts

I love Packers-vs-Bears weeks.

(via apoplecticskeptic)

I love a good old fashioned rivalry.  I couldn’t be happier to hear Brandon Marshall say he hates the Packers.  GOOD.  You’re a Chicago Bear, you’re SUPPOSED to hate the Packers.  And we hate you back.  That’s the Packers/Bears football mentality that’s been missing due to 2 things:

  • free agency
  • the Bears being terrible since 1992.

That’s the funniest thing I’ve read this offseason, by far.

NFL.com news: QB-RB-WR trio provides Bears with potent and balanced punch

i wish i would’ve done like my wife and taken tomorrow off.

Oh just go to work hungover like a grownup, Scott

apoplecticskeptic:

We’ve gone 33-8 since.

Of those eight defeats… three were lost in overtime, two were lost on last-second field goals in regulation, and one was lost on a touchdown pass as time expired.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

"Lynn Dickey?"

Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy’s response at today’s shareholder’s meeting when asked about the “iconic quarterback who used to work here.”

Perfect.
