This tweet just in from Missouri Republican Senate candidate Todd Akin’s spokesman. Apparently his campaign is doubling down on the calling-your-opponent-who-just-happens-to-be-a-woman-and-a-sitting-United-States-senator-a-dog thing.
I’m less offended that Akin’s camp posited the whole McCaskill/dog scenario than I am that anybody over the age of 8 thought “bullshitsu” was funny or clever.
“The president has not signed one new free-trade agreement in the past four years. I will reverse that failure.”
- Barack Obama signed the biggest free-trade agreement since 1994.
- He’s responsible for 1/5th of all U.S. free-trade agreements.
But Mitt Romney will not let his “campaign be dictated by fact-checkers.”
Facts schmacts.
I can’t even bring myself to get angry about it anymore.
Though really, it’s a pretty brilliant ad.
