So, not to be too dramatic or anything, I’ve been thinking…

Today marks 5 years that I’ve been on Tumblr. That’s a long-ass time in Internet years. In that time, I’ve accrued a little over 5000 followers, about 1% of which actually make my time here valuable and positive. The fact that the rest of those followers are here is due in no small part to the manner in which I use Tumblr. I’ve posted things just because I knew they’d be like-bait. I’ve drawn negative attention to myself just because I was bored that day. I had a hand in creating an environment in which I’m no longer completely happy or satisfied.

Tumblr doesn’t let you “make” people unfollow you (nor should it). The next best thing is to just pick up and move, which is what I’m doing. I want an opportunity to exist in a space of my own creation, with my friends, my family, food, hunting, fishing, without the intrusion of petty intrusions. That’s what actual life is for, this is supposed to be a bit of an escape.

So, yeah.

I don’t know, maybe I’m just scared of having me.

When we had kids, we planned on one. I don’t have any ego wrapped up in teaching my son things, I just want to teach my kid what I know, no matter what gender they are. There’s enough anxiety involved in having a second kid, and I’m scared that having a boy would somehow take away from the things I’ve already imagined teaching Audrey. Not intentionally, but just by default.

It’s selfish, but I love the shit out of that kid, and I kind of don’t want her to have to compete for my attention.

Do you guys plan on more kids?

We are still in negotiations. Kel is leaning pro, and I am leaning con. We both have totally valid arguments. She might be swaying me a bit. Maybe.

Totally agree. Bell’s Two-Hearted is a top 5 beer for me. (In the summer it’s a top 3.)

Do you see your significant other naked (or scantly clad) so little that you need a picture to remember? Is it more about the person getting photographed than the person receiving the photographs? The “new” one is actually a song that they recorded around the time of Give Up, from what I understand. There’s a reason it sat dormant for 10 years.
