(Wild Game Noodle Bake)
Kel and I were supposed to collaborate on some lasagne tonight, but I forgot the eggs for the homemade pasta, so we scrapped it until later this week and I raided the fridge and improvised.
Took the ground venison and wild boar left over from bolognese last week and browned it with sausage spices (salt, pepper, fennel, onion powder, garlic powder and sugar). Added the last of the bolognese, plus some jarred marinara we had in the pantry, and boiled up 3 partial boxes of noodles we had (macaroni, penne and cavatappi). Mixed it all together, topped it with grated whole milk mozzarella and colby jack, baked it covered with foil for 15 minutes, then topped it with some of the garlic bread seasoning we always have in the fridge (parmesan, garlic salt, onio powder, basil and oregano).
Not fancy or anything, but tastes pretty good.
