I’ll tell you what “check your privilege” almost NEVER precedes… a civil fucking conversation.  There are exceptions, obviously, but when your mind is already so made up about my character that you feel empowered to dismiss me with a 2K12 buzzphrase, it’s just an easy “people I need in my life” litmus test that you just failed.
