I’m installing laminate wood flooring on the landing at the bottom of the basement steps, it’s a space that’s only 2x4. Does anyone have an idea for how I could get a small piece of underlayment for it without having to buy and entire 100 sq ft roll? I don’t want to have to waste a whole bunch of it.

Contractors and the home stores will definitely have off cuts/remnants/ Limits selection, but it’s perfect for what you’re looking for.

Either buy some off a contractor or use a piece of plywood and round off the sharp corners with sandpaper.
