I think we’ve seen a trend on the charts of older artists gaining traction because younger audiences don’t pay for as much music. Taking nothing from Cohen’s record, which I love, there’s a generation of kids that have never KNOWN paying for music, which HAS to skew the charts older.

thesemicullen said: I think he picked up a lot of listeners of our generation due to covers by bands like Concrete Blonde and the fact he was featured so heavily on 90s soundtracks like Natural Born Killers. That has to help.
