I'd debate that a little. I mean, he did kind of quadruple his first-week sales from his prior studio album. And the article notes that he sold most of his copies online, rather than in physical stores. So clearly something must be happening.
I think we’ve seen a trend on the charts of older artists gaining traction because younger audiences don’t pay for as much music. Taking nothing from Cohen’s record, which I love, there’s a generation of kids that have never KNOWN paying for music, which HAS to skew the charts older.
